Introducing John Dixon

“ I love going to the beach because you never know what you will find. What is pretty much guaranteed these days is that the beach will yield my kind of treasure. Plastic fragments washed up on the last tide. Fragments of what was once a useful product, then discarded, finding its way into the ocean where it often sloshes around for many years, maybe decades. There is a huge variety of pieces in this diptych, abandoned trawler net, bottle tops and small fragments. All in their natural colours, combined to create this beautiful patchwork. And we should all feel guilty. Because it’s our rubbish. Patchwork Guilt. “

Patchwork Guilt

A beautifully crafted piece all the pieces have been picked up from local beaches and arranged into this patchwork in an organised and mesmerising way. £1,950
