Introducing painter Gina Fishers
Bio
Gina fisher is an artist from Cornwall, primarily working in oil paints. She is also a writer and certified Trichologist and has worked in TV- her favourite moment was voiceover acting for a popular TV show ‘Long lost family.’ As a young child, she moved house a lot all around the world as her father was in the army. She often gravitated towards painting and writing as a place of calmness and familiarity. Her art teacher at school pulled her to one side at the end of year 11 and told her to seriously consider a career in art. This conversation had always stayed in the back of her mind, like a little niggle! She instead channelled her creativity into hairdressing and worked for the prestigious Toni&Guy franchise. The close relationships and deep connections she formed with her clients over the years had been a stepping stone into art and the subconscious study of people. Her work is powerful, with viewers captivated by each piece’s atmospheric, dreamy ambience. Inspiration is drawn from the mystery of life and human emotion. They are an invite to reflect, connect, reunite with the natural world- an opportunity to take whatever you want from them. Tactile and rich in colour, they often incorporate embellishment details such as her signature drips of resin, gold leaf and sparkly diamond dust.
