Bio

I have over 20 years of experience as a ceramicist and teacher, working in a range of differing environments. Being based in the South West of England has provided a highly effective insight into pottery techniques and the ways that both adults and children acquired them. Whether they are complete novices or experience designer-makers. During 2013 and 2014 I had the pleasure of making multiple visits to Iran, Tehran, and Tabriz. During these visit I introduced the Raku processes as new approach Through a series of lecture, seminars. demonstrations and workshops I was able to induct ceramists and ceramic teachers into the artistic and technical demands of number of alternative making and firing approaches.
